Sabena Hijacking: My Version

Monday, April 3, 7:00 PM
Longmeadow High School, Longmeadow

This riveting dramatization tells the story of the 1972 hijacking of a Sabena plane while on route from Brussels to Israel, as well as the Israeli commando raid that liberated the passengers. Based on the memoirs of the plane‚Äôs British pilot, the film features first-person interviews with then Minister of Transportation Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who, at the time, was the officer in charge of the rescue team.

Captivating, fast-paced, and utterly suspenseful, Sabena Hijacking: My Version juxtaposes Israeli and Palestinian narratives to pose hard questions about the seeds and legacy of political terrorism.

Nominated for Best Documentary at the Ophir (Israeli Academy) Awards.
